The students of the Second and Third Year recently embarked on a comprehensive industrial visit to Al-Badar Engineering and Atlas Honda on December 30, 2025. This tour provided a unique “complete package” experience, allowing students to witness the full lifecycle of automotive manufacturing and materials processing.
Bridging the Classroom and the Factory Floor
During the visit, students observed a wide range of sophisticated metallurgical and manufacturing techniques. The tour was specifically designed to show how raw materials are transformed into high-performance components.
Key processes observed included:
-
Shaping & Forming: Students saw high-precision stamping, deep drawing and other cold working techniques used to shape metal sheets.
-
Casting Technologies: The visit provided a clear look at both Cold and Hot Chamber Die Casting, showcasing how intricate parts are molded with speed and accuracy.
-
Surface Engineering: From thorough cleaning to advanced coating stages, students learned how components are protected against wear and corrosion.
-
Heat Treatment: A vital part of the curriculum, the students saw real-world heat treatment processes used to enhance the mechanical properties of metals.
-
The Final Product: The visit concluded with the assembly of auto bikes, where all the individual components come together on the production line.
