Building upon our rich legacy in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new B.Sc. in Materials Science program this academic year!

This comprehensive program offers a fundamentally science-driven and interdisciplinary exploration of materials. You’ll gain a deep understanding of material structure, properties, and applications, developing essential skills in characterization, analysis, and processing. We place a strong emphasis on sustainability and interdisciplinary approaches, preparing you for the challenges and innovations of tomorrow.

Through interactive learning and computational methods, you’ll hone your problem-solving and analytical abilities, setting you up for diverse careers in academia, research & development, and vital industries like aerospace, automotive, electronics, biomedical, and energy.

Important Note: The B.Sc. in Materials Science is an exciting addition to our established and highly regarded Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program, not a replacement. While our Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program provides a strong foundation in the engineering and science of a broad range of materials with an emphasis on practical applications, the B.Sc. in Materials Science offers a distinct, more science-focused pathway.

Broader Admission Criteria

We’re also excited to share that the B.Sc. in Materials Science program boasts broader admission criteria. While our Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program primarily admits students with F.Sc. pre-engineering qualifications (with some exceptions like relevant DAE seats), the new B.Sc. in Materials Science welcomes all students who have completed their intermediate or equivalent education in Science, including those with backgrounds in F.Sc. Pre-engineering, F.Sc. Pre-medical, Computer Science, and more!

Ready to shape the future of materials? Explore the possibilities with our new B.Sc. in Materials Science program!
